Persuasive Genre Analysis

Instagram profiles like most social media profiles are meant to persuade. They are meant to be a representation of yourself and the goal is to get as many people to "like" you or "follow" you as possible. Social media has an audience of nearly anyone with an internet connection. Instagram uses ethos, pathos, and logos in order to persuade the viewer or potential "like" or "comment " right on their phone screen or favorite device to "Follow" who ever profile they like. Instagram account is an expression of your personality, and everyone’s is different. However, we couldn’t help but notice some common categories and types of pictures.
