I chose Betty Wright and her pop culture influence because she paved the way for today’s R&B artist and gave them a positive influence on what R&B music should look and sound like.Listening to these songs and watching her does have the ability to make a person get emotional. Her music seems to be written to help people, motivate them, and sometimes lift their spirits up which people look forward to while listening to music. Wright's voice sends chills down people's spines and makes listeners visualize every word she sings. Saying that, without a doubt anyone that listens to any of her songs can truly say they are life touching stories that could help anyone get through their situations. Making the revisions helped me make my big break because I went back and added a different genre convection that allowed me to analyse her work from a different aspect. I chose to write about Betty Wright because I grew up listening to her, I love her music, and can relate.
